Those of you who have been reading Modern Flat for a while will probably remember that I used to disable comments because of massive comment spam…

Those were dark days indeed. Well since I’ve installed the Akismet spam filter, I’ve had no worries! Of course there is a tonne of spam coming in, but none of it gets through. While deleting today’s spam attempts I noticed this message:

“Akismet has caught 989 spam for you since you first installed it.”

Only 11 to go until Akismet has saved me from having to manually delete 1000 spam comments. Great job Akismet!

PS: For those of you who visit regularly and have noticed there has been a bit less posting than usual, that’s because my Internet connection was down… I’m going to make up for it over the weekend and this following week.

I know this post has nothing to do with modern decor or similar, I was just happy that I found such a good solution to the spam problem…
