This piece comes from Tokujin Yoshioka’s Tokyo-Pop Collection (2002). Injection-molded polyethylene stool/table is suited both for indoor and outdoor use. Its lines were defined by the proportions of human body. A very useful piece of furniture, it can serve as eye candy, a bedside table, regular side table, a footrest, etc. Your imagination is all that’s limiting you with this piece. Yoshioka, Designer of the Year 2007, has work in the permanent collections of MoMA and the Pompidou in Paris. This piece can be purchased at DWR

Well the title of this post can serve to introduce this great looking table from Blu Dot, or my un-excusable absence from this website for the last month or so. :( Now that I’ve finally got around to writing a little something for the website, let’s take a look at what I’ve found for your perusal. It’s the Nick table (by Blu Dot) available at Design Public for about $1200. Yes, it’s expensive, but I’m sure you’ve already noticed that most nice things are so don’t let the price scare you. This table is a great example of something of quality that you could probably hold on to for a LONG time, and be more than happy to do so. The Nick table is available in Walnut or Cherry veneer and looks right at home in your modern interior… it’s also elegant and understated enough to blend in just about anywhere (unless your place looks like shit, then don’t bother). :p

All too often modern furniture is just way too expensive for ordinary people… this sucks. However, once in a while it’s possible to come across a great piece of furniture or accessory that is actually within some reasonable price range, even for those of us who don’t have a fortune to spend on furnishings. One such item is the Scando Table; a lovely low table made of bent wood and looking very sleek, sexy and modern. At only $350 (up to $399) the Scando Table is totally attainable. And to those of you out there that insist $350 is a lot of money for a table, just remember, you are paying for DESIGN and quality… so I still think the price is very reasonable considering what else is out there. :) Available in White, Birch, Oak and Walnut, the Scando Table was designed by Eric Pfeiffer and produced by OFFI. It’s a quality piece and sure to provide years of service and convenience. This one is definitely going on my wish list!
