Nelson Crisscross Pendant

Trained as an architect, George Nelson found a fresh solution to lighting design in the organic forms of his “bubble” lamps. The lamps were first produced In 1952 by spray coating a skeleton of steel wire with a layer of translucent plastic that cuts glare but allows light to softly shine through. The tautly stretched plastic polymer emphasizes the simple forms and sculptural qualities of the lamps. All lamps are built to Nelson’s specifications. UL-listed.
