These two materials are widely used in modern furniture and interior design… let’s face it, they just scream MODERNISM!

But that’s not always what people are looking for. Sometimes it’s nice to have a piece that’s modern but understated. I think the Platner coffee table is one of those pieces.

If you isolate it and leave it all on it’s own, it will definitely demand attention. But when mixed with other furniture (even more traditional styles) it sort of just blends in and becomes part of the scene. This is definitely one of those rare “universal” pieces that can fit in just about anywhere.

Like the post title suggests, this table is made of steel wires (and about 1,000 welds!) and a thick glass top.

    Really well said…I agree that these both are widely used in Modern Furniture & Interior Design & they are playing major role to Home Decoration but I would like to see at least some images of them here with Modern Styling & Furnishing
