This is the light fixture, it’s pretty interesting if I do say so myself. The light bulb doubles as the pilot’s head and while it’s bright enough to light up the entire room (60W) the light is still soft enough not to bother your eyes if you happen to look directly at it.

I’ve decided to hang it low, about eye level (my eye level, not the kid’s) that way it’s low enough to be enjoyed but high enough so that kids can’t reach it. It cost about $30-40 and installation was very straight forward.
