Unusual title? Maybe, but a very common chair.

The No. 14 chair by Thonet (Michael Thonet 1859) is probably the most recognizable and widely used cafe chair ever. It’s simple design and (kinda) elegant shape make it perfect for almost any environment, from cafe to kitchen.

While browsing the net today I came across a picture of this chair, by chance, and decided to write a bit about it… I see similar chairs in just about any cafe I go to (or pass by) and even cheaper restaurants. So I got to thinking, why not at home? Ok, the obvious reason would be that your kitchen/dining room would look more like a cafe/bistro than the standard dining room, but that’s not all bad.

The best part is the price, you can find them CHEAP, either used or from your local hospitality business supply store.
