		<description>Hi,

We have a tile installation and marble polishing company in Boston, MA.

Sorry to disagree with you but the finish/glaze on porcelain tiles is the exact same finish that is on ceramic tiles and wears exactly the same.

Since tiles, if they have enough support, (that means there is no deflection or bounciness to the floor)rarely crack unless you drop something heavy on them there is no advantage here either.

The only advantage to porcelain tile is that it is much denser so it doesn&#039;t absorb water. If you are going to tile an area that might get wet and freeze than you must have tiles that don&#039;t absorb water or they will crack when the water freezes. Other than that the higher price of porcelain tile is not justified. Sorry to disagree but if you do the research you&#039;ll see I&#039;m right.

If you need more tips on tile work there is some pretty good information on our 2 websites
www.tileboston.net and www.groutrestoration.net

There are many common mistakes that people make when they do floors and wet areas like showers and tub surrounds.

I hope it’s useful to you. If you happen to be in our area and need anything let me know.

I wish you sucess.
