Bamboo flooring
Bamboo flooring (including parquet) is becoming a very popular option for modern residential and commercial interiors. Bamboo flooring is very tough and easily withstands the day-to-day abuse most people can dish out, that’s what makes it so attractive to many people. Of course it looks cool too and this is probably the main reason that more and more people are starting to install bamboo floors in their homes.
Bamboo is of course an all-natural material and this is probably why many people don’t mind replacing their classic wooden floors with bamboo, it provides a similar look and texture. Being a natural material also means that it is renewable. This is nice because bamboo can be cultivated and harvested specifically for use in furniture and flooring industry, at the same time helping to save a few trees.
Although bamboo flooring shares similar look, feel and texture to classic wood, it still has its own uniqueness. It has a specific look, densely packed texture and quite obviously different from your classic wool, walnut or beech flooring; bamboo really is a great modern alternative for those who aren’t looking for a radical departure.
