We’ve seen the voice-recognition microwave, but how about the scanning microwave? What the heck is a scanning microwave you ask? It’s a new invention that may revolutionize the way people use microwaves. Beyond Smart has come up with a way to ensure that you never burn your popcorn again—or wrongly cook many other items.

This microwave comes with a scanning wand. When you go to put in a food package, simply scan the bar code with the wand and the scanning microwave will automatically set itself for perfect cooking. How easy is that? The new Beyond Microwave Oven is about $170 and comes with 4,000 items preprogrammed.

Now even bachelors can cook… kinda.
