The other day I got to thinking how much my place would benefit from a total renovation… this though often crosses my mind. The one room in my apt. that particularly annoys me is the bathroom.

It’s not an ugly room, but it’s small. Besides ripping down a wall and extending the bathroom into one of the adjoining rooms, the best way to open up a bit of floor space is to get a wall mounted toilet. Well more precisely, a toilet with an in-wall cistern. You’ve seen them before I’m sure, the little bowl with no tank attached to it… they look great and in a small bathroom you can use all the extra space you can get!

One other tip I have for you (nothing to do with toilets though) is lighting. Make sure your small bathroom is very well lit! Strong lighting will help open the space up and make it feel much less cramped. Mirrors are a great addition as well.
