Art as a wall color alternative
Not long ago we moved into a new apartment (well old but new to us) and my wife and I haven’t had much time to decorate or even come up with a plan or solid idea for our décor.
At the moment our whole apartment is stark white and void of any personality or color… kinda sucks. So I’ve been keeping my eyes open for art, anything that can bring in a shot of color and liven up our space a little.
A good piece of art, photo or other wall hanging can bring just enough color, texture, design and focus to a room to make up for its (the room) starkness… at least enough to make it livable. I like to hang art on the walls that are visible as you are entering that room and also as you are sitting in it. Hanging a piece of art or photo in a place no-one looks is kind of pointless don’t you think?
A quick tip, browse through eBay on occasion and you might even find something nice for cheap.

Although, sometimes adding a little art draws people’s eye to a spot that they wouldn’t look at before. Sometimes something unpredictable can be fun and art in itself, don’t you think?

I think art is a great addition to any house. I am a minimalist at heart so I enjoy open spaces. At the same time, I really enjoy art. I have collected for 20 years. I find art to be something that you can enjoy every day rather than some hobbies that sit in a shoebox inside a closet. Art is money wells spent. Art says something about someone. It might be place you want to visit, a style or just something cool that you enjoy.

A room without artwork on the walls is kind of naked. If you look for fresh and unique images/art work for all budgets….then have a look at IMAGEKIND.COM.

I believe having an art to a place would give you a life. I mean your life won’t be boring as long your environment has full of art and designs. It really makes you inspire…

I found a fantastic painting recently, in a charity shop in a truly uninspiring small english town. It is a thirties-style portrait of a woman in a red dress, and it cost me just £10. A great find, something that comes along rarely.

I believe art is an asset to any room. Quite a few years ago my husband and I moved in with his dad. His dad has polio and isn’t getting around so good. My husband and his dad had built the house about 7 years prior, so we moved in with him to help him out. The house had absolutely no decor what so ever. Just to give you an idea of what I’m talking about; he didn’t even have curtains or any type of shades over the windows. The outside world was free to have a peek. I remedied that. New curtains and some painting for the white walls spiffed things up a bit. Thanks to a fellow blogger I recently ordered some wooden furniture from a website called http://homefurnituremart.com so that there is a color difference in the living room. I also ordered quite a few other things to spice up the house. We need to build an addition onto the house though. I really want a master bath attached to our room!! But, one thing at a time…
